Today was suppose to be the day

We were so looking forward to seeing you tonight and celebrating the Soup Kitchen of Muncie with our 10th Annual Dinner and Auction at the Horizon Convention Center. As most of you know, with the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic we had to reschedule and then ultimately cancel our annual dinner for 2020. For many organizations, this has been a common occurrence both here locally and across the country. Much effort was put into the dinner and we were close to finalizing details when everything was put on hold.

We would like to express our deep appreciation for our sponsors as they committed to their pledge and have stood by us during this unprecedented time in our lives and our country. With so much going on they were steadfast in completing their commitment to us. Since we could not celebrate with you tonight we want to give a BIG THANK YOU to all our sponsors and ask that you support them in their businesses during this difficult time as they continue to support us . We look forward to our dinner in 2021 on August 28th at the Horizon Convention Center.

Even when we had to close for a short while, our sponsors stood by us as we helped others to continue serving the needy in our community behind the scenes. We have been serving sack lunches now since the middle of May, outside our building. We continue serving the community and hope in the not too distant future to serving hot meals once again. Of course, all of this is dependent on the virus and the spread in the community. Our goal is to keep everyone safe.

Once again, please support these business and sponsors as they support us in the work that we do each day. Stay safe and remember when you shop or need services these people are here to help you and all of us in our community.
