What we are Thankful for on this Thanksgiving

A message of thanks from the Soup Kitchen of Muncie  Board of Directors.

During this time of Thanksgiving, as people come together with family and friends, the
Soup Kitchen of Muncie would like to take a moment to say how thankful we are for a
supporting and loving community!

We are thankful for our tireless volunteers and staff who show up everyday. You keep
the Soup Kitchen running, making sure that there is a hot meal and sack lunch for
anyone who comes to our door. Our afternoon volunteers help prep the meals and
make salads and sandwiches for the next day, while our morning volunteers get the hot
meals ready, pack the sack lunches and serve our guests. Also thanks to the community groups                                                        that come in to volunteer in a variety of capacities from cleaning to making sandwiches.                                                                         We appreciate each of our volunteers and the work they do.

We are thankful for our sponsors. We planned several new events and fundraisers this
year and couldn’t have done it without the support of some wonderful sponsors
including: R & R Engineering Co.; Pizza King; Westminster Village Muncie; Normandy
Flower Shop, Inc; Plant Studio Landscape; Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation
Center; Kat B-Viking Realty; Trademark Title Inc; Heintzelman Hardwood Floors;

Creative; City of Muncie; Mid-City Plating Co.; Northwest Towing and Recovery;

Masiongale Electrical Mechanical Inc.; 1816 Wealth Management Partners of Raymond
James; Suding Family Dentistry; Stallings Wealth Management; Magna; Tonne Winery;

We are thankful for our donors. You truly make it possible for us to meet our mission to
feed the hungry in our community with your generous support. From our long-time
contributors to those who made their first donation to the vendors/farmers at the                                                                      Minnetrista Farmers Market and the Community of Hope Church mission garden, thank you.

And we are thankful for our supportive community. You came out and helped make our
fundraising events and food drives successful. Thank you for your generosity.

The Soup Kitchen of Muncie wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
