Storytelling and Music can help benefit the Soup Kitchen of Muncie!

Looking for a way to enjoy a night out, listen to stories that helped make songs by the artists that made them, and give to the Soup Kitchen of Muncie? Then look no further!

The Facing Project is a Muncie-based nonprofit that creates a more understanding and empathetic world through stories that inspire action by beginning crucial conversations on the most pressing issues that divide us.

The Facing Project’s Storyteller’s Concert will be held at the Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 7th starting at 7:00pm. Tickets are $21 in advance ($25 at the door) for general admission, or $50 to receive a pre-concert VIP meet-and-greet with preferred seating. By purchasing a ticket and by listing The Soup Kitchen of Muncie in the “How did you hear about this event?” section, $5.00 will be donated to the Soup Kitchen of Muncie.

Josh Kaufman, winner of season 6 of NBC’s The Voice, will be accompanied by award-winning musicians Cliff Ritchey and Dan Deitrich as they share accounts about their music, writing experiences, and memories connected to each of their songs. Between the sets, actors will perform three different monologues curated by the Facing Project on the theme of “inspiration.”

If you are interested in attending and purchasing tickets, please visit the website: give.classy.org/storytellerconcert and remember to list The Soup Kitchen of Muncie in the “How did you hear about this event?”

Sticking with the theme of inspiration, at The Soup Kitchen of Muncie, we have many things that inspires us. Two of them are the people we serve, and the people that help make a difference (YOU!) Without volunteers and donors, it would be very difficult to operate the Soup Kitchen of Muncie, so we would like to the thank all of the volunteers and donors that inspire us every day which ultimately leads us to help feed an average 140 people daily in the Muncie community.

What inspires you? Is it helping those in need? Is it by making a difference in someone’s life through volunteerism? We would love to hear what inspires you? Mention what inspires you in the comments below!
