Wine tasting was great success – fun too.

Morrison Woods Health Campus http://trilogyhs.com/browse-locations/item/morrison-woods-health-campus hosted a wine tasting party  to support the Soup Kitchen of Muncie.  This fun special fundraising event raised over $800 in addition to 80# of Sugar, Sugar and Starch.

Bill Elliott, a wine expert, guided guests through the evening of tastings and food pairings.  He shared his wine knowledge gleaned over several years as a sales person with a rather unlimited “wine and dine”  budget.  He also gave insights into how to fully appreciate and evaluate a wine.

Guests tasted a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, a Markham Chardonnay, a Baileyana “Firepeak” Pinot Noir from the Edna Valley, a St. Francis Cabernet Sauvignon and a St. Francis Old Vine Zinfandel from Sonoma.  The informal event allowed guests to voice their likes and thoughts about the wine and food pairing.

Cindee Cox and the staff of Morrison Woods designed the colorful planters which were auctioned to rise additional funds for the Soup Kitchen of Muncie.

If you missed this fun event, plan to attend the next one.  It’s for a great cause and a good way to learn about wine.  Thanks to Morrison Woods Health Campus for being the sponsor.
