Hello, my name is Adam Keever.
I am 41 years old, devoted to my loving and caring wife Jennifer, and very proud of our 6-year-old daughter Caroline. We are blessed and grateful to be Catholic Christians in the Muncie Pastorate. There are so many wonderful people in the Muncie Pastorate, and the Muncie Community at large, that give of their time, talents, and treasure to help citizens who are in most need, which I find very inspiring.
Just over a year ago, I was nominated and elected to the Soup Kitchen Board of Directors. I am humbled by the experience and dedication of the board members, staff, and volunteers. I look forward to my learning journey on the Board. I am glad to be a part of an organization that treats those in need with human dignity; all are welcome.
In early 2019 I also joined the local Knights of Columbus Council, because of a desire to serve our local community in the name of God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ alongside like minded men.
The Knights of Columbus support the Soup Kitchen of Muncie, the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Muncie, the Deacon’s Pantry, the three local Catholic Parishes, Gibault Children’s Services of Terre Haute, Father Andre’s Orphanage in Haiti, and many other local, regional, and national organizations with regular donations, as well as with donations by request for emergencies or extenuating circumstances. The Knights of Columbus continues to provide sack lunches to the Soup Kitchen, as in years past, but this last year was critical with the onset of the pandemic.
Over the last year, I have been amazed to learn just how many organizations of people of good will there are in Muncie. If you would like to join in the cause, please reach out. I am sure there is a good fit for you in one or more local organizations.
