Morrison Woods Health Campus and Soup Kitchen of Muncie both serve the community in different ways. Morrison Woods is the premier facility for seniors in our community. I know from personal experience. My mother was a resident of Morrison Woods the last several years of her life and the care she received was wonderful.
I was comfortable having my mother at Morrison Woods because they are one of the few facilities providing a continuum of care for their family of residents. The independent living villas are new and beautiful two-bedroom, two bath homes with an attached garage. Should the need arise, the villa residents have the option to move into assisted living where they receive help with their daily activities. Rehabilitation care is available, too, as is the health center for those who need the most support and care. Additionally, there is a brand-new building called Legacy for those with memory issues.
Morrison Woods appreciates everything that Soup Kitchen of Muncie does for the community. Morrison Woods supports Soup Kitchen of Muncie in many ways. Recently Morrison Woods held a “Drive Through Ice Cream Social” to help raise funds for The Kitchen. Visitors were able to enjoy refreshing ice cream on a hot summer day and donate any amount of money. All the proceeds collected are given to Soup Kitchen.
On Wednesday, July 14th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Morrison Woods is hosting an “Art and Wine” event as another way to show support of Soup Kitchen of Muncie. This is an opportunity to get a preview of the art being auctioned at the Soup Kitchen of Muncie Dinner & Auction on Saturday, August 28th at Horizon Convention Center. Many local and prestigious artists have donated their works in support of Soup Kitchen. Enjoy a glass of wine and hors d’ oeuvres in the Clubhouse of the Villas at Morrison Woods while leisurely reviewing the art on display. This is a great way to see the artwork up close and in person so you can be ready to raise your hand and place your bid at the fund raiser next month.
Tickets for the August 28th Dinner & Auction will be available for purchase at the Morrison Woods Art & Wine event on July 14, through Eventbrite, bring your credit card and we will get you registered.
