Hello dear friends, what a difference a day makes , a week, a month.
As I reflect on the crisis that has suddenly changed all our lives, I think about what I was doing a week ago. I was working hard at the soup kitchen serving our guests and making things roll along. Working hard on our annual dinner with our board, and many friends, and sponsors.
Last Friday everything changed as we made the decision to serve our meals outside in a carry out bag. Our number one concern was keeping everyone safe from this invisible enemy .
I want to let you know that my prayer is that we are safe and doing what needs to be done to STOP this pandemic.
We have postponed our annual dinner for April 4th and moved to August 29th . Please mark your calendar’s and plan to help us celebrate the soup kitchen with your support and celebrate each other, and our community .
We will be reaching out to our sponsors and if you have purchased a ticket we are working on your refund from Eventbrite.
Please stay tuned as we will update you on what we are doing at the Soup Kitchen to serve our community . We will keep you informed concerning the dinner, as time goes on.
