Serve Week 2018 at Union Chapel sent a team of 12 youth and adults to the Soup Kitchen of Muncie. The young people cooked, cleaned, made sack lunches, and served food to guests. What a help they were! They also brought 120 “white bags.” Each of the “the bags” contained needed personal care and cleaning items for the guests of the Soup Kitchen of Muncie.
Where did Serve Week 2018 serve?
This group was part of over 260 youths and 200 adults who provided assistance to many non-profit agencies and organizations during the week of June 18 – 22. Besides serving at the Soup Kitchen of Muncie, teams from Serve Week 2018 worked at Muncie Community Schools, YMCA, Second Harvest Food Bank, Blood and Fire Ministries, McCullough Park as well as many other locations. What a testimonial to the generosity and kindness of these young people.
This is the 17th year that Union Chapel has sponsored a week of service for youth. The Soup Kitchen of Muncie has been the recipient of their help for several years. Our guests love to have these young people present with their energy and kindness. Thank you.
