Thanks to the support of our generous sponsors, donors, artiest, and to the hard work and dedication of our amazing volunteers, friends, board members, and staff; we raised money to help us serve our community in the year ahead . We are finalizing our income and expenses, but we have a gross income of over $52,000 for the 11th annual dinner and auction.
We could not have put on this year’s dinner without a great team of support on our side.
A BIG THANK YOU to Ryan Kramer and Jessica Shrout , who kept the auction lively and fun. Our faithful artiest and cake bakers came through once again . Paintings, pottery, jewelry and live experiences were auctioned off with great enthusiasm from the crowd of close to 200 people who attended the dinner in the lovely Horizon Convention Center.
All items on the silent auction table were donated by individuals and businesses in the community. A big thank you to Bill Elliott, business advisor, Jessica Shrout, a friend of the soup kitchen, and our board, who secured sponsorships, and items for the live and silent auction.
Not only did the larger space provide room for a larger celebration, the hard work the Horizon team put in allowed us to concentrate on showing our guests a great time and thanking the community for their support over the years.
And of course, we are ever grateful for our sponsor and donors. We were blown away by the number of local businesses and people who wanted to be a special part of the dinner this year, and who were willing to step up their support. We want to thank all our guests who purchased tickets to attend. Maybe you filled a table or you bought a ticket. We appreciate your support, everything counts in helping us feed the hungry.
We look forward to another year of serving this community and celebrating our achievements again next year!
In spite of all the trails and tribulations we have all had to face this past year, we are so grateful to experience the support of the the community of Muncie and to continue to serve those in need in Muncie and Delaware County. The need is greater than ever, your continued commitment to the Soup Kitchen and our mission is so appreciated by us and those we serve everyday.
