The year 2020 was one of unprecedented events. Like people all over the world, we adjusted to the “new normal” of mask-wearing and social distancing. For the Soup Kitchen of Muncie, this meant adapting the way we served our community. Meal service went to carry-out only and volunteers were kept to a minimum to ensure the safety of our volunteers and the community we serve. Unfortunately, being socially distant also meant cancelling our 10th Annual Dinner and Auction. Many of our sponsors graciously agreed to help us with our mission despite the changing circumstances. As a result, we were able to continue providing hot, nutritious meals to those in need.
